The origin of Japanese public bath can be traced back to 13 century. It was a bath for monks purifying their body at shrine. When the monks opened the shrine baths to the public, Sento (Japanese public bath) culture was began.
Showayu is one of the Sento. When you stay our hostel MOKU-MOKU, it is free to take a bath at Showayu without additional fee.
Wooden house, Tatami floor and Japanese furniture make a cozy, laid back ambience.
MOKU-MOKU is very close from Awaji Station. It takes only 3min by walk!
It is possible to walk from Shin-Osaka Station (20min by walk, around 680yen by taxi).
Only 10min, 190yen to Osaka Station (downtown of Osaka).
35min, 370yen to Kyoto(Kawaramachi). 36min, 370yen to Kobe(Sannomiya).
Off course, you can access very easily to any tourist spots as Universal Studio Japan, Shinsaibashi (famous shopping street), Tenma (great spot for Izakaya and Bar), Ebisucho (symbolizes the landscape of Osaka).
